KAIZEN – A Word That Changed My Mindset Forever

Have you ever heard just one word that completely changed how you see life?

For me, that word was KAIZEN ; a Japanese philosophy that means continuous improvement. Better never stops.

 I first heard it from Dr. John Allotey; my mentor, during the Drug and Annual General Conference at UHAS, Ho. He delivered an unforgettable speech on strategies for promoting safe drug use, the role of education in medication safety, and the importance of continuous learning in healthcare.

But beyond the technical knowledge, his words carried deep wisdom; wisdom I desperately needed at that moment.

Thanks for giving back, mentorship is key to individual success and you did a lot of mentoring in the Middle East and many of your mentees have gone on to grow in their work places. Even the best basketball player in the world back then. Micheal Jordan needed a coach, Roger Federer also needed and listened to his coach though he was a better tennis player.
